Clinical Staff

Jane – Dental Hygienist

I have an associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene and have had both the pleasure and the opportunity to work at Family Dental Associates for over 37 years.  For the past 7 and 1/2 years, I have been fortunate to work under the direction and leadership of Dr. Abbey Hawkins.  I am happily married to Mitch Watson and have 3 children:  Hillary, Meredith, and Corbin.  Both of my daughters are married and live in Raleigh, while our son resides here in Rockingham County.

Holly – Dental Hygienist

I have been a dental hygienist for over 20 years at Family Dental Associates.  I have definitely grown to love all of my patients and feel like each and every one of them is like my second family.  We have an amazing team here at Family Dental Associates and I can’t imagine working anywhere else.  In my spare time, I love any and all things involving animals, gardening, traveling, and simply spending time with my husband Greg, family, and friends.

  

Amanda – Dental Hygienist

I am a life-long resident of Eden and have been fortunate to be a part of Family Dental Associates for over 20 years.  I earned my dental hygiene degree in 2005 from Guilford Technical Community College and was awarded the Outstanding Dental Hygiene Student Award by GTCC staff.  I consider myself an experienced and talented dental hygienist with an attention to detail, but with a gentle touch.  I enjoy all of my patients and love educating them on proper hygiene habits and the many treatment options available to them.  I am married to my loving husband Harrison and have one son, Ford.

Kelly – Dental Hygienist

I am proud to be a native of Eden and graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at GTCC 16 years ago.  I enjoy talking to my patients to make them feel like family and thoroughly enjoy alleviating any dental fears and anxiety my patients may experience.  I have 3 boys and am married to my high school love.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to Smith Mountain Lake, and attending church functions and activities.

  

Kasey – Dental Hygienist

I grew up here in Rockingham County and I attended the Dental Assisting program at GTCC in 2012.  Dental hygiene has always been my passion.  I then earned my dental hygiene degree from GTCC in 2015.  I have been practicing dental hygiene in our community for 8 years.  My favorite part of my job is serving our community and giving out patients a reason to smile.  I married my high-school sweetheart Michael and together have a son named Jaxson and a cane corso named Cayde.  In my free time, I enjoy traveling, movies, and video games.

Amy – Dental Assistant

I attended the Piedmont Dental Assistant’s Program and have been in the dental field since 2010.  I have worked at Family Dental Associates for over 8 years and thoroughly enjoy coming to work every day and helping our amazing patients.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband Justin and our three children: Leah, Luke, and Jackson.

      

    

Brandy – Dental Assistant

I am a native of Eden.  I graduated from the dental assisting program at GTCC in 2007.  I worked in pediatric dentistry for thirteen years and started working here in June 2022.  I love working with adults and children to help them feel comfortable with their appointment.  I have been married to my best friend Daniel for 17 years and we have a nine year old daughter.  In my free time, I love going to the beach and spending time with my family.

      

Emily – Dental Assistant

I attended the Piedmont Dental Assisting Program and have been in the dental field since 2014.  I enjoy coming into work and talking with patients to make them feel like family.  In my free time, I love spending time with my family and my precious daughter.

     

     

    

Jill – Dental Assistant

 I was born in Niagara Falls, NY.  I have an associate degree in Medical Business and Human Services for the Elderly.  I completed the Dental Assisting Program in Rochester, NY in 2002.  I have been in the dental field since 2001.  I am married to my husband Matt, and we have 2 sons and 1 daughter.  In my spare time I love to watch my children play sports, outdoor activities, and travel.

Kamryn – Dental Assistant

I completed the Dental Assisting program at GTCC and have been in the dental field since 2018.  I am married to my husband, Abe, and we have 3 daughters.  I enjoy going to the beach and spending time with friends and family.

     

     

      

Administrative Staff

Tina – Office Manager

I have worked at Family Dental Associates for 35 years and have worn many different hats through the years.  I have been the office manager and front desk supervisor for the last 15 years.  I cherish the relationships I have with our staff and patients alike.  I grew up in Reidsville where I currently live with my husband Dan and am proud that we share our family farm with 4 generations of family members.  I graduated from Elon College in 1982.  Dan and I have one son, Benjamin; he and his wife Mary Katherine have one son.  In our spare time, we love traveling and spending time with our grandson and two yellow labs, Boone and Grace.

Patricia – Insurance Coordinator

I am a lifetime resident of Eden and have worked at Family Dental Associates for over 33 years.  I currently serve as a Patient Care Coordinator and Insurance Billing Specialist.  I have been married to my husband Tom for 34 years and we have 2 wonderful daughters.

  

 

Mandy – Patient Care Coordinator

I joined Family Dental Associates in 2019 as Front Desk Coordinator and also assist in other areas of the office where it is needed.  I have over 25 years of experience in the field of dentistry and have dearly loved every minute of it.  I graduated from Stoneville High School and Rockingham Community College.  My husband Carl and I live in Stoneville where I am a lifelong resident.  We have one daughter and two grandchildren.  In my spare time, I like shopping, beach trips, and spending quality time with my grandchildren.

    

Tish – Patient Care Coordinator

I am a native of Eden and graduated from Morehead High School in 1989.  While attending Rockingham Community College, I worked part-time at Family Dental Associates as a file clerk.  Soon after, I was offered a position as a dental assistant and have practiced as a dental assistant for 32 years.  I thoroughly enjoy coming to work each and every day and serving the wonderful patients of Eden and the surrounding communities.  I have been married to my husband of 32 years and we have 2 adult daughters, 2 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter.  In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, sewing, and singing.

Deb – Front Desk

At Family Dental Associates, I love filling in when they need extra hands.  I am responsible
for greeting and assisting our wonderful family of patients when they first arrive at the office.  I thoroughly enjoy helping others and assist with several other duties here at the dental office.  After living in Georgia for 20 years, my family and I moved back to Rockingham County, where I spent most of my life growing up.  I am married to a wonderful man and have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.
